JSMedia – The Bulloch County Market will be growing with the addition of three new employees to the lending team of Morris Bank. John Roach, Chad Avret and Alana Avret will be based at the Statesboro branch. They have over 15 years of banking experience and will be responsible for lending to local businesses. Each will be responsible for a different area of the lending process, including commercial real estate loans and mortgages.

Prior to joining the Morris Bank team, John Roach started his career at Sea Island Bank, a community bank in Statesboro. He went on to hold several management positions in the banking industry, most recently as Senior Vice President and Loan Officer with Synovus. He was also previously the Statesboro Market President at Renasant Bank. In his role at Morris, he will be focusing on the Statesboro market.

Roach joined the bank earlier this year after a successful career at Sea Island Bank. He completed his undergraduate degree at Georgia Southern University. He has held various management roles in banking, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Loan Officer at Synovus, and most recently, as Statesboro Market President at Renasant Bank. He will continue to focus on lending, while enhancing the customer experience at the Morris Bank. These two financial institutions are bringing new and experienced customers and employees to the community.

Connie French joins the Mountain Commerce Bank team in Knoxville. She brings over 21 years of experience in private and business banking. She has worked as the Director of State at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tennessee. The role of Senior Vice President/Commercial Lending Officer at Mountain Commerce Bank will be a challenging one. She has a passion for helping businesses grow, and is looking forward to the challenges ahead.

After serving on the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Maria Aprile is now on the County College of Morris Board of Trustees. She has over twenty years of banking experience and has held many management positions, including Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer at Synovus Bank. In addition to her role as a member of the County College of the Morris Board of Trustees, she has been the Director of State for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tennessee for the past five years.

Currently, Chad Avret is the Commercial Lender/Vice President at Synovus Bank. He holds a degree in Business Administration and has a passion for helping small businesses grow. Avret is married to Alana Avret and has three children. He works from his home in Atlanta. The family lives in Statesboro, Georgia, and Chad and Alana are both passionate about serving their community.

Avret is a native of Statesboro, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1995 and has served as the Parks and Recreation Department in Statesboro, Georgia.
